Is Cameron about to lose his first Tory Cabinet Minister? Today is decision day for Liam Fox and David Cameron. This morning, the interim report on Fox’s conduct in his friendship with Adam Werritty lands on the PM’s desk; at 2.30pm it is Defence Questions in the Commons. That puts tremendous pressure on both men. Cameron can only allow Fox to go to the House if he is confident that there is no resignation offence flagged up in the report…
So, Liam Fox has apologised over Werritty – but with the report landing on the PM’s desk tomorrow morning, is this going to be enough? He will also be facing Defence questions in the Commons which we’ll cover on PB. Shadsy now makes Fox 8/11 to still be Defence Secretary on 1st January, while the PB poll was also evenly balanced, but with the “Fox to go” predictions leading. Internationally, PM Tusk’s Civic Platform looks to have won a comfortable…
What do you think – will he cling on? Will Liam Fox still be Secretary of State for Defence next Sunday? YES he will NO he won’t
Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 Generic Defence Secretary now just 5/4 to be next out Recent months have been fruitful for anyone engaged in setting odds in a “Next out of Cabinet†market, as Shadsy may attest. Instead, the most noteworthy events of the last three…
As presaged by Henry’s article yesterday, the Labour reshuffle has taken place, featuring some younger MPs from the 2010 intake – full details here, here and here. David Herdson will be back in action tomorrow in his usual Saturday slot – and thanks for your continued patronage of PB while Our Genial Host is away. Finally, if anyone would like to take part in the Poland election game, it is available here – entries close 7pm tomorrow. Many thanks and…
