My money would be on the 6/4 LAB bet
The multi-member party list electoral system used in the European elections is ideally suited to Ukip where it’s party brands that matter over the individuals who get elected.
It is no surprise that in the elections that have been held under these rules that the purples have done well. Four years ago they edged Labour out and became second party in terms of votes behind the Tories.
Now, following their sensational performance in terms of votes if not seats last week, Farage’s party has the momentum and must be taken seriously.
The elections will be the last full-scale national ones before the 2015 general election a year today and Labour will be eager to come top. My guess is that they will and the 6/4 from William Hill looks good value.
