CON voters more critical of BBC’S Jubilee coverage than LAB or LDs

CON voters more critical of BBC’S Jubilee coverage than LAB or LDs

We’re the attacks more about politics? After a week of stinging criticism there’s some good news for the corporation in the News International funded YouGov daily poll for the Sunday Times. Those sampled split by 2-1 well/badly when asked how the BBC’S performance had been.. It was 57% saying well to 29% saying badly. Interestingly the pollster found that Tory voters much more critical of the BBC with 57% saying well to 35% badly. With LAB voters the split was…

Labour’s Angus Reid lead down 2 to 14 percent

It’s CON 29/LAB 43/LD 9/UKIP 9 There’s a new online poll from the Canadian firm, Angus Reid, in the Sunday Express which has LAB maintaining a commanding lead although down 2 on last week. Before the 2010 election the firm tended to show the biggest Tory leads and consistently had LAB with the smallest shares. Since the election it’s been a similar story but for Labour read the Tories. What about a Leveson-style inquiry for the banks?

Nate Silver says Obama has a 61.6% chance of victory

Judging when to get out of a position is always quite tricky…

Is Warsi the proxy for getting at Dave?

Is Warsi the proxy for getting at Dave?

Has the PM too much at stake to let her go? Ladbrokes currently make Baroness Warsi the 7/4 favourite to be the next cabinet exit taking over that illustrious position from Jeremy Hunt. Certainly the issues that have been raised could make life a bit tricky but on expenses is she that much different from other senior members of her party including cabinet colleagues? We must remember that Warsi’s position in the party is down entirely to Dave and I…

It’s Thursday night in the NightHawks Cafe

I’ve just got back from my hols after nearly three weeks away. Although I have been sort of following events it can take some time to catch up fully. For me the most irritating thing about getting back to my own computer is the deluge of messages about new updates that need to be installed. Thanks once again to TES for keeping the site going. Anyway – this is the PB NightHawks cafe – have a good night. @MikeSmithsonOGH
