How will the Bush Presidency look after tonight?
-
Will his party hold both the House and Senate, one or neither?
With reports starting to come in from across the US it’s clear we are in for an exciting night. And, in the fashion of US elections, there are the reports of problems with electronic voting machines in several state. This has almost become a tradition.
According to ABC News ” Programming errors and inexperience dealing with electronic voting machines frustrated poll workers in hundreds of precincts Tuesday, delaying voters in several states and leaving some with little choice but to use paper ballots instead.”
With elections so tight and with so much at stake it really is amazing from a UK perspective that the authorities leave themselves wide open when things don’t work.
In Florida, scene of the mazing argument and court battles in 2000, a poll worker is said to have “unintentionally wiped the electronic ballot activators.”
In 2002 and 2004 I found the ABC site to be the best one to watch. No doubt others will be surfing and find different choices. Another great site is RealClearPolitics and no doubt there are others should be following.
