There have been reports that Cameron is to carry out a shake-up before everybody goes on holiday.
The biggest oddity in the top 8 list must be Michael Gove. I just can’t see him being demoted. He’ll stay, surely, with education where he’s seen by his party if not the wider electorate, as doing a good job.
There’s been almost nothing about the Lib Dems and the only movement I can think of is for a woman, Jo Swinson perhaps, to be promoted. The existing LD five are all men. The question then is which of them would lose their cabinet place.
Whatever I doubt if the overall number of women will be down on the current four. It would look very bad going below the existing level.
