Who’ll win the LD race – the debate continues

Who’ll win the LD race – the debate continues

PB.C party-goers discuss the chances Saturday’s second PB.C party attracted 40+ site regulars including Anthony Wells, founder of UK Polling Report, Guido Fawkes and Ian Dale, the owner of Politicos and who served as David Davis’s chief of staff. Clearly the Lib Dem leadership race was a key discussion point with many of the Tories there saying the candidate that they most feared was the former MEP, Nick Clegg, who is not a candidate and has come out strongly for…

Is Charles really running out of time?

Is Charles really running out of time?

Kennedy’s secret critics fail to impress punters The Lib Dem leader’s firm post-Christmas response to those private critics who say, amongst other things, that he does not have the charisma of a Cameron or a Blair has reinforced the doubts of reluctant punters in the Next Lib Dem leader market. For in spite of all the coverage there has been very little betting on his replacement. Betfair’s market has seen just £5,302 in matched bets with barely £800 going on…

Essential Server Maintenance

Essential Server Maintenance

This weekend I will be updating both the hardware and the software to try and (a) increase reliability, and (b) introduce some new features. Hopefully this won’t be too disruptive, with maybe one or two hours of downtime in total. I’ll try and keep the bulk of this to “off peak” hours. Thanks for your patience, Robert

With the Tory race almost settled what about Labour?

With the Tory race almost settled what about Labour?

The Chancellor’s price tightens as punters sense an earlier promotion? With today’s YouGov poll of Tory members showing a comfortable 2 to 1 one margin in favour of Cameron the only betting interest left is on the scale of the victory. Even the Daily Mail has now come out for the 39 year old. Labour, meanwhile, looks a lot more interesting. On the betting market on who will be the next leader sentiment has moved sharply to the Chancellor since…
