NHS polling blow for the Cameron and Osborne following the £8bn extra funding pledge

NHS polling blow for the Cameron and Osborne following the £8bn extra funding pledge

But could it take a few days to get through?

First reaction to the Tory big pledge on extra funding for the NHS does not look good though it is likely to take a few days for the message to get through.

The Tory effort has been designed to link their strong polling advantage on the economy by making the argument that the NHS, usually a LAB trump card, can flourish best if the economy is sound.

Trouble is that that the party ontinues to be mistrusted on almost any aspect concerning the health service.

The other overnight polling news has been the first Sunday survey from YouGov with fieldwork taking place from Saturday afternoon to Sunday. The results are above and the default assumption had to be that this is just statistical noise.

This looks set to be a very big polling day with Populus, the first Ashcroft National Poll and the top pollster from 2010, ICM for the Guardian. There might be others as well.
