Well done ICM and Populus
It’s humble pie time for me
A couple of days ago I raised the issue of the don’t know adjustments used by Populus and ICM and implied that this might be having a distorting effect on their final polls.
In both cases it was their adjustments for the don’t knows which made them more right – a key factor that enabled them to be in first and second position in the polling accuracy league table. They deserve to be congratulated. Well done guys.
I said I’d “eat hiumble pie” if I was wrong and this post is my way of doing just that.
I’ll be doing a further post on the polling and the spectacular exit poll which everybody seemed to be doubting when it came out at 10pm on Thursday night.
