Is Damien Green about to be an issue again?
Could the bail date of April 20th herald a re-opening of the row?
The news about Bob Quick is a reminder that one of the most high profile cases that he was involved in, that of Tory front-bencher, Damien Green, is still pending.
The next legal stage is on April 20th when his bail is next due up. What’s going to happen then? Is this going to still be pursued? Will Bob Quick’s exit make any difference?
The problem for the Tories about the Green case is that so far their outrage has hardly resonated and in November/December there’s a good case for saying that it caused the leadership to take their eye off the ball. Will that happen again?
