It’s been a day of consolidation on the by-election betting markets following the publication of Michael Ashcroft’s telephone poll. Although the headline figures had the Tories just ahead other data, such as voting intentions without the likelihood to vote weighting, had the Lib Dems 3 points ahead.
Until we know who the Lib Dem and Labour candidates are going to be it’s a bit premature making a call though my view was that the detail of the polling more favoured the yellows than the blues.
