Did you take HenryG Manson’s advice in November?

It was back in November that Henry G Manson wrote a post here suggesting that we should be betting that the Welsh secretary, Cheryl Gillan, would be the next cabinet exit.

At the time Henry noted Gillean told Free Press in June:

“If the project goes ahead, I would resign the whip unless the Prime Minsiter tells me he would allow me to vote against it. When I was appointed to the cabinet, the Prime Minister knew of my opposition to this.”

Henry also commented on the choreography over Gillan going with briefings on who would replace her

Now we know that the decision – HS2 or NO HS2 – will be announced on Tuesday with signs that it is going ahead. Unless the route, therefore, has been adjusted so that is misses Gillan’s Amersham seat then it’s hard to see how she can stay.

I got more money on Gillan at Ladbrokes this afternoon at 6/1.
