YouGov has the blues back on 40
YG daily poll: The Sun | Apr 8 | Apr 7 |
---|---|---|
CONSERVATIVES | 40% | 37% |
LABOUR | 31% | 32% |
LIB DEMS | 18% | 19% |
LAB to CON swing from 2005 | 6% | 4% |
What does this say about the opening salvoes?
After last night’s YouGov poll which was distinctly out of line with the rest we now have Cameron’s party back on 40 with Labour down at 31%.
This will give real boost to the blue team and be a jolt to Brown Central which was obviously delighted with last night’s news.
Coming up this weekend we should see a full range of polls including, I am told, a major marginals survey which is taking place at the same time as a national poll from the same firm.
It’s starting to look as though Cameron’s party is winning the first week.
