Now a fifth contender, Jeremy Corbyn, declares that he’s running for LAB leader

Says the other candidates are too right-wing

Corbyn is going to have to get his skates on because nominations close a week on Monday and he’ll need 35 fellow MPs to support him just to get on the ballot.

Of the other 4 contenders he told the Mirror ““They are not offering a clear enough alternative on the economic strategy and austerity, and our attitude to welfare expenditure. We think the left members of the party need to have a chance of a debate.”

The big question is whether his candidature will hurt any of the other campaigns.
