What does this say about the coalition?

Some interesting leadership approval data from YouGov suggests that both Lib Dem and Tory voters are not too uncomfortable about the coalition.

There’s strong support for Cameron from the Lib Dem supporters but just look at how Tory voters are viewing Nick Clegg. A total of 86% saying he’s doing “well” which exceeds the proportion of Lib Dem voters prepared to say the same about their leader.

This must be an polling first. I cannot recall ever an approval poll that had bigger support numbers from another party than the leader’s own.

I just wonder whether this might be an embarrassment for Clegg.

Note that the survey took place before the David Laws story.
