There’s a new YouGov poll out for Channel 4 news on the public’s reaction to the range of welfare measures that we’ve seen announced in the past week or so.
The responses for the individual proposals are in line with previous polls and suggest that, so far at least, the coalition has the electorate broadly on side.
An issue with this form of polling is that the vast majority of those taking part are not on benefits and it’s easy to back something that will not affect you individually.
